Comps are nice, but if you're going to be playing serious you'll need to effectively rathole as they track every single session. Once you hit a certain lifetime win they'll show you the door.

Craven, I've been wondering a lot about that recently. Have you had personal experience with that?

Other than Vegas, and 1 store in a coastal city, all of my back offs have been cumulative win.

That is so interesting to know! Thanks for sharing that tidbit. For other folks who've experienced a back off, does that mirror your experiences?

Also, Freightman, do you feel comfortable sharing more specifics about your cumulative win back offs? Perhaps by DM if not here? I'm particularly curious about what thresholds you've experienced as a breaking point at different stores (I don't expect you to share the specific stores and limits, but more curious about what order of magnitude we're talking about. $10K? $25K? $100K? And is it consistent or a range at different places?).

Also, what time frame are we talking? Is this in a single session? Days? Months? Years?

And it sounds like, from your prior post, that you never play rated. So assuming these were multi-session cumulative wins, am I extrapolating correctly that the casinos in question still recognized you and built a long-term profile of you?

Thanks for any and all info you feel comfortable sharing!

This matter is really store dependent. I was once backed off for being spreading from red to green. It was a sweaty place serving plenty of free alcohol for their consumers. They just viewed me as a potential danger for no reason other than my dress.

So the dress wasn't good enough cover?

In retrospect, I believe it was because my hat was too big and too flashy. It just singled me out of the ordinary.

I actually answered but decided to delete. There were potential clues to my location.
