Thread: Looking for a reputable US firm for a sim

Not being sarcastic -- here's something I don't understand. A 3.5% edge is about triple what a card counter achieves, and you're claiming to do it without any counting at all. Why would you pay anyone to validate your system? With that kind of edge and no heat to worry about, since casinos will let you play forever, why don't you just go blast away and win tons of money? Doesn't that beat paying MIT to tell you what you already know -- that you have found the Holy Grail?

Since you don't want to listen to some of the most prominent blackjack authorities in the world, why listen to an MIT programmer? How is his telling you that the system doesn't work any different from Norm's and my telling you the same thing?

I have made thousands of dollars, mostly made online (it’s easier, I can even play in my boxers, plus I get more hands per hour). There are two reasons for going with MIT:

-peace of mind (I want reputable proof my system works, not just winning money)
-I get tired of playing blackjack.

Yes, I love the game, I’m passionate about it, but selling the system would be profitable. Imagine, a system without counting that works, how much would that be worth?
I couldn’t care less about the fame, selling it is the best road for me.

Nothing to sell just yet, but it this thing is validated by MIT, it’s good for them and it’s good for me. They have nothing to lose. If my system is invalidated, I lose money. If my system is validated, MIT can boast that they were behind the math that proved the impossible, possible!

Why do you lose money if your system is invalidated? Why not just keep playing and win thousands more, as you already have? Your system is already invalidated, as we all have told you it can't work. Why would one more invalidation matter to you?

"Imagine, a system without counting that [allegedly] works, how much would that be worth?"

Exactly as much as all the other "Winning without Counting" systems!

For enough money I can tell you your system wins.

    Couple things

    1. You can never get more HPH at an online casino. Seriously, over perhaps a 3 day trip, averaging about 9-10 hours per day, you'll probably double the HS of the online casino, while including the travel time into the 3 day projection, that's how unbearably slow online casinos are, and how utterly important it is to scout casinos out for weak dealers, as well as fast ones.

    2. If you get tired of playing blackjack, you should stop playing blackjack. Its really that simple.

    3. It would seem as if you're in this to make money on the system, but you have, quite literally, shown zero evidence to support the idea that you have the ABILITY to sell it. From what I'm reading, you really have no idea how to market this, let alone get it to market, nor does it seem like you've even though of a way to invest into defending the system against rule changes.

One of the first entities to buy your system will likely be a casino or its employee to bring to the attention of the casino, where they will reverse engineer and dismantle your system and theory, and come up with an idea on how to make your system impossible to use, while not jeopardizing the integrity of the game. Extra decks, cut cards, automated shufflers, No mid shoe entry, all measures of reducing systems or theories that could beat the game, while not truly impacting much of the game itself, and often disguised as "Efficiency improvements".

Playing online against software, I do get much more hands per hour. Real table games are usually slow unless you are one on one against the dealer. In this latter case, you are likely at a high stake table.

As far as marketing the product (if it is validated) I have given it some thought, but there is a still lot of work to be done before I even get there.

The name is catchy: «Synchronicity (or Feng Shui) Blackjack»

I haven’t thought much about publicity, but Vegas, Atlantic City and Macau do come to mind.
Selling would be via a secured web site, and not one copy of the system would be released until at least (500) copies are reserved. I promise not to write or actively promote the system for at least 10 years

If and when I sell, I want to sell in good faith. I have seen those systems out there «Winning without counting», usually a book with a bogus method. If the system is invalidated, end of story. If it’s validated, I then have a lot more work to do.

Yes, I do get tired of playing online. I get a sore index finger and casinos do employ strategies to get rid of winning players, even online. At least 3 showed me the door. It’s addictive, you can easily become obsessive-compulsive with the game, especially when it’s available at Starbucks or anywhere there is a connection.

For now, I can only wait and see. When I do get an answer from MIT, I will let this board know. I hope they accept my proposition and that their price isn’t too steep.

I am well aware that most people on this board know that winning without counting isn’t possible. For now, I will plead no contest. I do believe otherwise, but I want to know otherwise, not just to believe.

I have won against Microgaming, Playtech, Lotto Québec, Casino Verité, I-pad blackjack software and many more software platforms; thousands and thousands of hands. I have played so much blackjack it’s coming out of my ears. I have studied the game so much; I have a library full of blackjack books including the classics, namely Wong & Griffin.

If there is a progression out there I probably know it. I have «invented» more than a few, and all have failed, except for one.

The beauty of Synchronicity BJ is its simplicity. Keep it simple stupid is one of my motto, go figure.

The time is now to really put the system to the ultimate test

I'm with you, I believe there might be some wonky way to win without counting, or at least a derivative of sorts, but you're absolutely wrong about your online play vs. house play. There's so much waiting going on with online blackjack, that you'd probably be lucky to see over 70HPH. Meanwhile, I know dealers that will deal me HU 300HPH including the shuffle, and you don't need to be in high limit, you just need to scout a little. Its worth the time to invest into your hobby/career, and online play simply doesn't cut it. Getting MIT involved is just a gag, and I don't think you're truly serious. Your post above showing that you've thought very little about the "big picture" suggest you might not even have the "small picture" totally figured out yet, even if such a system you came up with worked.

Edit: And if you really wanted to "find out" about how it works, why not write a snippet here? I'm sure T3 will have it dissected by morning.

I'm sure there are a thousand things I haven't thought about, be it small or big, but I'm not there yet. Asking MIT to get involved is true (no, it's not a gag), but will they, is another question. They should get my proposition by next week.

He has written some on it. Apparently a chase wins and losses with some unknown criterion to decide when to blast away. I forget the particulars but I know a guy that sells a craps system. The beauty of his system, from a marketing stand point, is there are enough options that you must decide on that he can go back and come up with the way you should have done it using the options and you would have made decent money. It is easy to win in retrospect after you know what was rolled.

What makes you think your calculation needs MIT level computing power? That's kind of my thing here. Dragging in MIT is just for vanity IMO.

I'll give you more of a backstory there. Its about 4-5am when this happens, very specific dealer on very specific days, in a very specific state that has laws "protecting" card counting. I know the dealer and the two PB's pretty well, and we basically play early hours when I'm in town, up until the breakfast buffet opens. I don't play a huge spread, I don't play more than 1 spot, and if I do, its very, very rare, and my spread is small against some pretty "meh" rules. Against a normal dealer, we're talking, somewhere around $14-15/hr max. Against her, though, its pretty wicked, and I don't even have to ask or entice her to speed it up. She's just naturally a lightning bolt, and its almost always at the tail end of her shift when she's just trying to pass the last hour so she can get out of there. I mean, we're talking so fast, she's not really even looking for my action because she knows I know Basic Strategy back and forth, and honestly she kind of "gets" that I might be a counter, but I tip well enough and show my face infrequently enough that she doesn't seem to have a problem with it, or perhaps she doesn't even know i count to begin with, just thinks I'm an experienced player. Either way, she's pretty quick to get a new hand back out there without even really looking for my signal to stand on 17's and 18s and such. The key is that her penetration never deviates from roughly 80-81%%. I gotta say it eyes out to just a little bit more than 1 deck cut out of a 6 deck shoe. Maybe, 60 cards in total. I can play a 3:2, H17, DoA, DAS, RSA(up to 4), NS game with 80% pen all day long with a small spread and never catch heat here. I've done it in the past, but I've found that its only ever really "worth" doing it against her, and her male counterpart, and they both work different schedules, so when I'm in tow, I try to play during the time they both play Deal. I'd probably put him around 250-270HPH HU. This is, of course, a state that really gets after the dealers for keeping up a "hand quota", though I have no idea how they can track this, short of keeping some kind of track on shuffle frequencies which wouldn't be too hard to calculate I guess. Only reason I know they are on a kind of "quota" is because I personally have known one of the dealers for decades, and we often have dinner outside of the casino. All in all, I'd say against her, I probably average $120 after tip in about 2.5 hours. I generally don't like to take more than $200 off the table when I play either her or the male version, I like coming back and playing those hours with them, and sometimes getting the PB to comp the breakfast buffet. I'd imagine if I started showing up there 5 days a week, it wouldn't last long.
