If you could see the hole-card 70% of the time, I see no reason for bet variation. When your advantage is that high, don't give them any reason to kick you out.

Thanks for the answer. This part of the game is very new to me so please excuse any questions that may seem naive or banal. What would you say is the percentage for actually being able to see the hole card? And what would you say is the percentage turning point for when you don't use bet sizing because the advantage of seeing the hole card outweighs the risk of barring.

The percentage you see depends on circumstance and skill.
The chart on page 464 translates % hole-cards seen (assuming no cover) to % advantage. I wouldn't risk being kicked out of a 2% advantage game. But that's me. You could use a low spread. But someone using heavy hole-card play isn't likely to be counting anyhow.
