A couple of corrections in your statements.
1. I said to add four to Katarina's published Spanish 21 indices and then us my TCRC to make playing strategy and betting decisions based on these actual true count indices. I never said to use BJ indices for Spanish 21. Where did you get that idea?
2. I said if you like to start at -24 for six decks or -32 for eight decks and do all of the extra calculations then fine. Continue to do what you do then. I specifically said I am not going to tell you what to do. Stick with what you are comfortable with.
What I did say was that for me I want to make things as simple as possible and do as few calculations as possible. So I start at zero, add 4 to Katarina' indices to get the actual HL true count indices and use the TCRC to find the true counts for betting and playing strategy changes.
Attached is the six deck and eight deck TCRC for an unbalanced count with a pivot of a true count of four such as Katarina's HL for Spanish 21 or KO for blackjack.
There are many patterns in the TCRC which makes it easy to remember. I quick look at the TCRC and the patterns are obvious.
So tc = true count, dp = decks played, n = number of decks and dr = decks remaining.
The attached TCRC was calculated using the formula tc = 4 + (HL - 4*n) / dr.
Just remember the table and start your Spanish 21 HL at zero so that most of your counts are all positive numbers and use this TCRC to immediately look up the tc without any calculations for both betting and playing strategies.
I feel I have already given more details than I really wanted to do but that is the end of my Spanish 21 analysis on this website. I am not gong to list any more lest I risk being viscously attacked by the nefarious blackjack forum scoundrels who like to insult and attack my character.
