To pass the time each day, I go to one of two casinos almost every day, play 6 deck games. Playing one hand of $10 at negative counts, Two hands of $10 each at neutral counts, going up to two hands of $75 at TC+4 . Over the last 30 sessions, I am up about $1k in about 100 hours. That is just $10 an hour. Biggest win is $500, biggest loss is $800.
my point is that they track me, feel it’s a waste of time to counter measure someone, piss off other players when I am simply passing time, ploppies like me (and bet on my side bets) as do dealers. The amount I am winning is not sufficient enough for them to get concerned about. "

Counting Is Fun, sorry you missed the point, as you swung and missed strike one.

Counting Is Fun's response:
"Well that is pretty sad then, it's seriously the largest city there?
Must be a pretty sad town...my guess would be that 21K per year is damn close to the poverty line no?
It's not 1960 anymore, so what you made when you were 20 has no relevance to this discussion.
These days I would guess high school kids probably make $10/hr at McDonald's during their summer break.
Why would Zee or anyone else waste their time in casinos making $10/hr? Jesus, we only get one life to live."
BoSox:
Counting, now you missed MWP point, swing, and a miss strike two.

And who the hell are you...Grosjean? Haha
Well then keep on crushing your 8-9% there genius. So your point is what exactly? That all BJ counters are stupid? "
BoSox:
On your last point of view Counting, it was an off-speed pitch which you swung and missed by a mile. Strike three go back to the dugout.
In the first example, ZeeBabar who at times gives the wrong advice simply does not need the extra income from blackjack. He has a good pension. Earning an extra $10 an hour socializing while having fun occupying his time is more than sufficient for him. Either way it's his life.
In MWP's response about how people around where he lives do not sneeze at $10 an hour, and the annual average income in Marquette is just over 21K annually. You responding with poverty remarks and people living in sad situations I believe may be way off base here. I bet the cost of living there is low for almost everything, and, people live contented within their means. I bet there is plenty of bartering of goods and services going on for extra income. I am willing to bet the debt level per family living there is low or better than other areas of the country.
ShipTheCookies, was making a point, "that you obviously missed" not bragging. I believe that his point meant do not look down on other peoples situations, or circumstances, because there are plenty of people doing better than you.
