AP Protocol with another AP at table
Over the years, I’ve had the following negative experiences at the table. Note that I usually play all
1. Player leaves mid shoe in negative count, returning after a whiz to note several max bets at end if shoe - karma - red chip days
2. Dickwad, substandard AP, exposes me as table as a counter. I let all my friends know - red chip days
3. Local AP at an out of town location joins table, leaves a shoe or 2 later in middle of horrendously negative shoe.
Other instances, likely forgotten - most recent on recent trip.
2 out of town AP’s, known to each other, both members of this board (obviously, I’m one of them).
I sit down, and am joined by the other. Not that I care, your first double 11v10 was slightly under index, so you should not have doubled, and the 10 v 7 or 8 (forget which) was a clear cut double. I don’t care about that shit.
What I do care about, even though the shoe was only marginally negative, is that you do not leave at that point in time.
Let me give a couple examples of proper etiquette.
A former participant of this board who played heavy duty stakes was sharing a table with me. Shoe was slightly negative. Individual did have to go, but waited until shoe was neutral.
Some years back, I shared a table with another AP, who occasionally posts here. I did tell this person, that I was expecting a call from my son, who was in England. I told this person, that when the call came, regardless of positive or negative shoe, I would take the call - proper notice.
This is not the same forum participant that I referred to a few weeks ago on whatever thread.
I wont identify you, but if you should join me again - either play the whole shoe, or please don’t sit down. Also, I’m familiar with your deal with that smart, but inexperienced individual we had burgers with. From what I’m led to understand, it was not equitable. If the individual does not mind me posting about it, he can text me his approval, and I will do so.
There will be those that pipe up about APs at same table, but there’s always exceptions.
