"Don't Cast Your Pearls Before Swine" (Jesus)
Thanks for the link Gramazeka. I need to spend some more time going through all the threads but this looks like something I could add to what I’m doing. I’d like to stay with a simple count like Hilo but I’m always looking for little things I can add to it. I know it doesn’t get me much, but it does hurt anything either.
Zee, I noticed your last two posts have been critical of how I play. My comments were only based on what I do. I’ve never advised anybody to do this. I’ve commented several times this probably doesn’t get me much. The only reason I mentioned how I keep side counts is because someone asked.
It appears you’ve become what you criticize others of doing...criticizing others for doing nothing more than saying what they do. I’m wondering if you’ve been spending so much time in casinos that you’ve started getting that “nasty” edge to you? Do you now come on this forum to take out your “hostilities” on somebody who doesn’t play like you? Lol.
Freightman, would you pleas elaborate in details your method, just kidding. I use letters in A S C and trying to use Spanish in counting 7s but unable to keep 3 counts in my head. I know that not all ideas is suitable for everybody so I would try any idea you put out when you learn 3 counts at same time.
Three, do you have link or document for it?
. Let me see if I can do this way in my locals
Thanks all of you.
I knew one guy who had his girlfriend literally sit in his lap while he counted the main game, and she counted the side bet. She would jab him in the ribs when it came time to play the side bet. A similar approach can be adapted to the FBM ASC. It does allow the player to keep both hands above the table, but does require absolute pure focus. The potential rigid output created could easily create a reduced oxygenated blood flow through the main players neural pathways, thus resulting in decreased efficiency usage of additional information gained.
I could explain the protocol in further detail, however, suffice it to say that the methodology espoused lends new meaning to the phrase - get a grip.
assume I play hi lo (I don't). I'll structure my bets in accordance with the imbalance of high versus low cards. Ask yourself how the density of intermediates influences my overall success rate. Will I adjust my upper bets if I don't care for the current density of high versus middle versus low cards. Enough for today.
Point taken. I’ll be less sensitive next time. You also said in a previous post this doesn’t get you much. I’ve mentioned this many times. I know it doesn’t get me much. Don has even chimed in on this topic.
The problem is I’ve gotten to where side counting aces has become second nature for me to where I don’t even use chips. That’s why I’m thinking of moving to an ace neutral count. The problem is I’ve used Hilo for so long I don’t know if I want to make that switch. I’ll probably just keep doing that side counting thing.
Fantasizing on the cw's ganzagas can indeed be distracting. I think it was about 22 years ago, that my younger son, then 12, told me - dad, when dancing with a girl, it is considered uncool to pop a woody. Definite merit to the comment.
DBS is just yanking your chain. Simply check his posting history. Pretty tough for a numbskull to take something personally.
Not bad advice Freightman. You're starting to understand me. Lol. I don’t take too much personally when it comes to my bj expertise. I’ve never claimed to be an expert. I enjoy the game and I’m always trying to learn. But I did take it a little personal when Zee told me I should stick with Hilo and not expand on it.
My feeling is stick with with the simplest system possible, which for me has always been Hilo, but always try to expand on it when possible. I love reading bj books and these forums. I’ve been picking up some pointers on these forums that has helped my game. I know 84 indexes but probably have never used most of them. I’m also doing more with the middle cards but I don’t think it’s helped me much yet either.
