If you're drawing attention, then you're playing in a low class shit hole. There is no reason to worry about heat at your level.
At a more technical level, possibly ahead of where you're at, starting with a $20, maxing at $150, dropping to $10 in negative counts, does disguise your spread, as opposed to a start if $10 spreading to $150. There will be a slight cost to SCORE using your proposed gambit, which is well worth it. The cost is compensated for, if your gambit has increased your max over, let's say, your original max if $100.
We don't know your bankroll, or tolerance to risk, which are also factors to consider.
