Yes. I deleted it quick but not quick enough. It was not intended the way it sounded so I deleted it. Sorry about that.
Another carpet bombing. You made me think I had let some cat out of the bag with some of my posts for casino personnel so to be safe almost all posts were deleted.
I disagree. I think perception is driven by a campaign by a few who don't like me. I know the perception that I am trying to impress is wrong. I am the only one that can be certain of that so what others think is irrelevant to reality. I know the truth. If others think it is useful to believe an untruth and be upset all the time, I think that is stupid but it is a free world. I alone know the answer to that and I can't change other people's misperceptions. That is up to them. They can choose to believe the truth and be happy or believe what isn't true and be upset all the time. Personally I would choose what was not true when I can't know for sure if it allowed me to be happy. Maybe I am the only one that sees the key to happiness is in the perceptions I have as I go through life.
Deleting posts that contribute to the problem of threads going off topic doesn't absolve you of being guilty of helping steer threads of topic. Unlike some others you make some good posts. I don't want to put you on ignore. If we can make sure we both aren't hyper-sensitive and give the other person the benefit you would a friend when they rib you in fun. Friends can go to far and when they do you just tell them and they don't hit that sensitive nerve. It would be nice if everyone had that kind of relationship on here but trolls only amp up the ribbing when they have gone to far. the difference is a troll wants to hurt, offend and upset. So a troll won't lay off when asked. We have all seen that. Most others want to have fun without their ribbing being taken in a harmful way. The back off when it is pointed out that they have crossed that line.
Very astute. Even the most experienced of us can pick up great nuggets. I've picked up some great shit from 3, Rarzan and others. Hopefully, others have picked up good stuff from me.
3's problem is he can't see the forest for the trees. Many if his posts have decent stuff within. The problem is that his nuggets are to often buried within lengthy manuscripts - filled with mountains if irrelevance.
Decades ago, I knew a long time salesman who knew everything there was to know about his product lines, and who knew virtually every customer that walked through the door. The guy should have made a killing. Instead, he was simply another second rate loser who couldn't sell his way out of a paper bag. 3's useless manufestos make him a loser, when he should be a winner.
You may be right about Freighter. But he doesn't understand how to manipulate me. Everything he does makes me want to do the opposite of what he makes other people think he wants. So either he knows exactly how to troll me and I am right. Or he hasn't a clue how to manipulate me and does everything exactly wrong to get the results he says he wants. I don't think he is clueless and is putting one over on everyone that thinks he is not trolling.
The way I look at it if I am going to do time, so to speak, for something anyway, why shouldn't I do it even if I hadn't been doing it. So when Freighter rides me relentlessly no matter what, it makes me have no desire to do anything he wants me to do. He has lost any hope of ever getting me to do anything he wants a long time ago. I do the time either way so why pay the forum bully any mind. Those that I respect have a shot but not if it means giving into the bully or being ganged up on. I was taught you never let a bully get their way whether they are picking on you or someone you care about. Obviously that has made me tough in a lot of ways over the course of my life despite having a natural aptitude for empathy and forgiveness. I am like that lovable Chesapeake Bay Retriever. The sweetest dog you ever saw except when defending his pack. You might notice I am the one that usually defends the guy everyone is piling on. Moses, I defended you when everyone piled on you when you first arrived on the forum. Your ideas weren't traditional but had more power than traditional approaches when taken to full strength. Everyone else wanted you to use Hilo or maybe some other count and ridiculed you for not doing so. I didn't try to get you to change counts. I tried to help you reach the full potential for your count.

Carpet Fire Bombing of a city is something that was done once in war, and then made illegal (if that is really possible in war) because the human casualties were abhorrent. Carpet Fire Bombing is a mixture of explosives and incendiary bombs. Read up on the carpet bombing of Dresden, Germany in WWII. It is estimated that there was between 35,000 to 135,000 civilian casualties. The city was completely destroyed. I used it as a metaphor for total destruction.

I was in Dresden for only one day last summer. You can see signs of rebirth amongst all of the non-descript, hard-lined, housing and offices. That’s the bland, dark construction “style” that resulted from military reconstruction of the carpet bombed communities.
Thankfully capital is coming in, buildings are being torn down more than sixty years later, and whole swaths of Dresden are being rebuilt and reborn.
"Your honor, with all due respect: if you're going to try my case for me, I wish you wouldn't lose it."
Fictitious Boston Attorney Frank Galvin (Paul Newman - January 26, 1925 - September 26, 2008) in The Verdict, 1982, lambasting Trial Judge Hoyle (Milo Donal O'Shea - June 2, 1926 - April 2, 2013) - http://imdb.com/title/tt0084855/
Dresden was of no military significance. The firebombing reputedly killed 100,000 civilians. The firebombing with high explosive incendiaries destroyed the city. It was, according to some, payback for British cities bombed during the Battle of Britain, most notably, London.
Interestingly enough, an early British bombing mission over Berlin instigated the diversion of the Luftwaffe from British military targets to British cities. London specifically, was beyond the range of German fighter escorts, which led to heavy German bomber losses. An argument can be made that this early military blunder by the German military, as well cancellation of plans to invade Britain was ultimately responsible for the defeat of Nazi Germany. Those cancelled military plans were heavily influenced by one if the Great wartime speeches of Winston Churchill.
Im a bit of a history buff, and a believer of, to a degree, forgive, but do not forget. Here is an interesting link.

Should also add that the Bombing of Dresden played a semi prominent part of the classic - Slaughter House 5 - by Kurt Vonnegut.

I do what I can but in every field there are those that you can only be thankful to have interacted with. I have been lucky in that every time I wanted to learn about something I had access to at least one leader in their field. It is an honor to have learned from the best. Few get that opportunity. Through all my schooling I was usually smarter than the teacher. Then you get one of these rare opportunities to learn from the best and you know you will never be smarter than the one teaching you no matter how much you learn. If you are lucky you prove that wrong. I have been lucky to get such opportunities but not lucky enough to come close to the knowledge of the leader in the field. Maybe if I had made a career at one of the fields I could have made a run at it but I still don't think I could have done it. I just do what I can given my interest in the field.
I have tried to learn from the best at AP and take things further than anyone has before. The trick is understanding when and where it is worth taking it to that level. In BJ there is a low ceiling of what can be gained so it isn't worth it from an EV or SCORE perspective. Things improve a decent amount but nothing like thinking outside the box can get you from other casino games. It is always good to develop new skills but once you can do them BJ is not the place to get a big improvement with them.
