If you win over time, Moses, then the loser mentality shouldn't creep in. If you are a newbie, when you have your first long losing streak, it will seem like you are a loser because you have not yet played the hrs necessary to believe that you are playing proper, and things will turn around.

iam a believer , we win because of the law of large numbers and a winning system not some super duper count, it certainly helps but not twice as good. maybe in some very exceptional composition it will help a great deal but i doubt those situation comes up enough .

I need a few amateur venture capitalists. I have very good screenwriting software.
I am looking for seed money from empathic innumerates and dyscalculias alike.
A new T.V. comedy series entitled . . . "Moses and the Law of Large Numbers."
It's about a Senior Citizen living in a desert wasteland where preferential shuffling
is the norm. He posts daily, punctuating his notions with (confusing) (mixed) (sports)
metaphors, while gas bags and over-educated blowhards like the "Zen Master" and the
"Tree Swinger" leap to criticize him as he tries to use simple arithmetic in futile attempts
to defend his oddball blackjack ideas. In the pilot episode, he is seen trying to get a young
drug-addled dealer to accept his sports-betting advice, but he is surrounded by other patrons
who argue that his advice is bogus. The morbidly obese pit-boss with dandruff on his shop-worn
blue serge sports jacket chimes in, but his attempts to fathom the fine points of the point-spread
on a "nickel baseball line" is hilarious. Meanwhile, our erstwhile hero drops his Heineken® as he is
faced with his hardest decision of the day - whether or not to hit his 13 vs. the dealer's deuce. He
stammers a warped belief that if he hits he will soon be persona non-grata. His tablemates debate
while it becomes apparent that the Pit Boss is unfamiliar with Basic Strategy, as he frequently reverts
to complaining about how much his feet hurt. The dealer is "on the nod" as he explosively asserts
jubilantly euphoric non-sequiturs. He consumes 240 mg. of Oxycodone® daily along with 3 packs of
Newports®. Of course, there is a "ditzy" 6' tall blonde Cocktail Waitress who inaccurately quotes
Shakespeare at every turn. She is referred to as "The Bard of Reno." She is accompanied by a 5' tall
red-headed Cocktail Waitress who is a talented amateur mathematician. Hilarity ensues.

I would title this "Dostoyevsky meets Hunter S. Thompson".

Doubtless, moses is not familiar with either; but this made me erupt with laughter as one of my A.P. partners loves my Hunter S. Thompson camouflage at the tables.

moses, he of brittle ego, posted some bizarre crapola (post #127) declaring me to be a "phony."
Many peeps from this forum have accompanied me to casinos and/or have stayed at my domicile,
travelled with me, etc. If anyone has "nothing to prove", it is this (altruistic) A.P. Of course, all of
my friends know better than to get involved by vouching for me. I need no endorsements. They have
    personally vetted me.

From whence hails this 40% figure?
It is a suspiciously "round" figure.
    Why not 43% or 37%
    ?

A deck of 52 with enough non-tens removed
to create a pack of cards that is 40% TENS
would have twenty (20) TENS for a (level one)
True Count of +4. The standard RENO game
that you exploit would become barely ripe for
betting at +2. I would be waiting for +3 while
it seems to me that +4 appears to be "overkill."

moses, your comments are certainly welcome.

And to think i stuck up for nerds in hs. Forefinger straigt up, thumb straight out. Now touch your forehead with the back of that hand.

My ego? Who is the one using large letters with blue ink and shoving Hi opt II up everyones ass with 6,000 plus posts?

These never ending threads are a result of T3 and Flash imposing their will on Hi Opt II. EOR will never change. However, constant change proves historical. Create confusion to confound the understanding. You don't need a mentor.

Wong Halves and Perfect Insurance is the best way to keep up with it all.

For a deeper understanding of the game see Moses Column Charts and Explanation.

Top engineers have the ability to understand complex equations. But the best ones can make complex simple again.

This so very confusing to me.
What are you trying to state ?

Just to clarify. I have always embraced the classic Greek ideal of a "Sound mind in a sound body."

I am a scholar. When I was younger I was also an Olympic Weightlifter (and Power Lifter),
having competed in sanctioned A.A.U. competitions. My success was certainly very limited.
I did better as a bodybuilder ~ until I became arthritic (in 1980), but never competed at same.

I might say, "And to think that I stuck up for brainless 'Jocks' in High School."

Now, if only we could only embrace the Classic Greek Ideal of the "Philosopher King", instead of electing wealthy Presidents without common sense, no less towering intellects.
