[QUOTE=Tthree;221717]So the pokers players were robbed, end of story.
To the very best of my knowledge the prohibition on "backing up"
one or more cards is universal. I have never seen an exception,
although Native American enterprises are sovereign and free to
do as they please.
Your comment suggesting that NV has poorly codified rules and regulations
piques my curiosity. I am hoping that you will expand upon this issue.
Not sure what you're implying here with progressive machines, but I can assure you nationwide (and including tribal compacts) that all progressive machines that are "reset" (If not actually hit by a purchased spin) have their jackpot values moved to another machine or multiple machines of the same denomination value (1c to 1c, $1 to $1).
If that happened to me as depicted, that would be the last hand I'd play against that dealer, that pit, that whomever. Double down and he gives himself a card instead of you? If I owned a casino and could train 2 or 3 dealers to pull this shit here and there, I could do okay out of the deal, not quite as profitable as dealing seconds but still quite effective! I'll keep that in mind in case I decide to open a casino but clearly this would be an unforgiveable error to me as a player (unless they were fairly stupid and were also doing mistakes in my favor along with it?).
Right, and for any "player contributed" progressive value, that can't be done, but its shady as fuck if they were planning on closing down a poker room and giving the players there on the last day a split in the value, by not announcing to all poker players that this would be done.
Its for this reason on those very machines you spoke about, that a "ram clear" happens and the progressive values are banked somewhere else, so that a player can't simply "show up" to collect winnings that he/she did not really contribute to, but simply had a way of "knowing" to show up to.
IE, if you didn't play a hand of poker, you shouldn't have been awarded the room's values, more so, the poker room should have at least notified the bulk majority of its regular players on a time and date to show up to chop it. Or what I've seen done, is that they actually have basically a "Freeroll" tournament for the balance.

Glad someone here has the common sense to see the issues!
