He said the only other place to get a 3:2 table was in high limit, where the minimum was $200/hand, but most of the tables were $500/hand. Pit after pit of blackjack tables everywhere and I was starting to get really excited because the casino looked like a fantastic place to hang out -- then I looked at each felt top, and all 6:5 with CSM. I am so disappointed and will never return.
I'm with you man. It's just teasing me. It's 30 mins away from my house and I was pumped to have a Vegas style casino near by but they just had to ruin it for me by having pretty much all 6:5. I stopped by again this morning and they had 22 blackjack tables open. 18 of them were 6:5. If you wanted 3:2 you had to be in the high limit room playing $300 a hand. Screw MGM.

In PA, you can't offer 6:5 BJ. Someone should complain to the Maryland gaming commission that they shouldn't be allowed to advertise 6:5 blackjack as real "blackjack"

I think they care that there's a difference. I also think they simply don't understand there's a difference.

When my ploppy friend was trying to get me to play a 6:5 table with him he said, "Sure the payout is a tiny bit less, but how many blackjacks do you plan to get anyway? Two? Three? What's 2$ if we can play on a 5$ table instead of the 25$ one?" They know the payout is less, they just don't understand how greatly it affects the house edge.

Tell your friend that at that point just play craps. Better value for a $5 bet than at 6:5 sh*tjack anyday. Especially when you account for drinks!

Or if you wanna school them say "I expect to get about 5 of them per hour and with a $1.50 tax on each one I'm giving up $7.50 to the house for no damn good reason."

Went last night around 7pm. Lots of 6:5 but found one $25 table with s17 and 3:2. full of course. But hopeful. Stay tuned, maybe they will get more favorable with time.

Let's hope so. I assume that game wasn't CSM?

All the S17 games are 6 deck shoes. They have one pit of H17 3:2 that is CSM and then a pit of H17 3:2 shoe in the cocktail lounge. A pit boss told me that during peak periods they will have double deck in high limit but I haven't seen that yet.

    MGM National Harbor

If you write up something on how Maryland allowing 6:5 is screwing the player you will be my hero.
