It is in Don's book, Blackjack Attack edition #3. I didn't invent it. For detailed explanations of anything that is where to go.
That is what I'm going through right now TThree. Don, as you've heard many times over now, BJA3 is a phenomenal resource. But yes, I liked his charts for multiple hands and that's where I learned 75% of Max bet to be optimal for 2 hand play (assumed when going to max instead of 2 at 50%).
I am not sold on this idea that an individual casino cannot, at times, program an ASM to clump cards. I also don't agree with the argument that they fear getting caught, that the risk of losing their license is too great for them to cheat. It's been demonstrated that punishment does not deter crime, that a decision to commit crime is based upon the likelihood the of getting caught. When no casino in an entire state has ever been seriously sanctioned, then the fear is minimal.
I have seen a pit guy remove 3 cards from a 6 deck ASM (with window), place it face down and when the red light came on, he read of the values of the cards that he had removed, satisfied the ASM was working as planned.
Now that hat does not mean this poster was cheated but it's not as preposterous as you make out. An individual casino might cheat on occasion with technologies present.
ZeeBabar, I have stated that I would not pick on you anymore;
but you are really trying my patience. You are completely wrong.
18 hours or 18 days of playing a certain way is moot in this case.
I have fantasized that you could be tied down and a Greek Chorus
could be set to an ad nauseam chorale chanting ...
"Z-Man won't abide by The Law of Large Numbers"
Then you compound your silly assertions by stating:
"lose one bet, win the other and because more cards
were being used up." That statement makes NO sense.
"Being used up" results in more pushes via a W + a L ?
You conclude with yet more misinformation:
"two hands all the time is the best approach."
Playing 'Heads-up', One (1) Hand is Preferable!
For me, (an altruist), your promulgating nonsense
is an affront. You do HARM by "dumbing down" our
game. Can you not understand that ? Apparently not!
I know that you are an academic counselor at a 3rd
rate college. The irony is obviously beyond your ken.
I believe that you are blissfully unaware of how people view
you ... as an addicted gambler of limited intellectual capacity.

There are only a few reasons why you should play 2 boxes. These include when the count is high and you want a greater proportion of the cards especially if there are other players at the table. Another reason is to increase the penetration if you are close to the cut card and also have the advantage. The problem is co-variance which is a measure of simultaneous hand dependence and in Blackjack it is always positive. This means that more than half the time the results will be the same. It is the same for Spanish 21 but to a lesser degree, except when redoubling is permitted.

Casino Enemy No.1
Mathematically correct BUT pragmatically incorrect -- as you're all but begging to be barred.
Absurdly easy for them to see that you play more than one spot [one "box" down under] ONLY
when the count is advantageous, (or disadvantageous when multiple minimal bets are permitted.)
in order to "eat cards" - a strategy that can be well-applied to DD games.
