I learned Zen because I was playing a mixture of DD and 6D at the time, and I liked the balance of ease-of-use and strength. I now mostly play DD, and 6D on the rare occasion.

I've been backed off twice in 16 years; never barred; infrequent heat.
However, I'm a recreational player who plays a maximum of only 40 -50hours/year at low green level-max bet $200.
I rarely play more than 1 hour at each casino/day and infrequently on the same shift/trip.
I'm a little ahead and have a ball playing with an advantage.
