    Table conditions

This months CBJN came out a few minutes ago. Looks like the number of 6:5 tables went down in the U.S. by 13. BUT, up by 14 tables in Nevada. Also an additional H17 table in Nevada. Average House Edge was ever so slightly worse in Nevada.

I think Nevada casinos in general, Las Vegas in particular often deal with tourists and irregular folks and thus can get away with it. In other states where casinos cater to a largely local and regular crowds, it would get a far more negative reaction when tables go 6:5. They cannot afford to lose their regulars.

I suspect the increase was in the strip casinos and downtown ones and less likely at station or local fed casinos.

Every month I get a new issue of CBJN, it's always a little depressing to read the highlighted changes that month (particularly Vegas games) on pg1. I may only visit Vegas two or three times in a year, but it's sad to see how bad many of the games are getting.

Noteworthy: C.B.J.N. now lists 6/5 "crapjack" more clearly.
