These days casinos ban not only AP but suspected-AP. Better safe than sorry. Since there are some casinos already suspecting Affleck for counting cards, conservative managers don't want his business.

The original story source is terrible.

Sorry Norm. It's the first one I read and didn't want to read again from other sites.

Wife is pissed he losses so much money playing BJ. May not be the smartest move backing him off. He won $800,000 at the Hard Rock in Vegas for 2001 betting $60,000/round. That's about 14 rounds ahead. Not much considering the stakes.

Isn't the Dailymail about as reliable as the Batboy/Alien abduction publishing Weekly World News and slightly less reliable than The Onion?

Perfect example of knowing the house tolerance levels, remaining incognito, and playing short sessions. Undoubtedly he must view it as a badge of honor to be backed off . . . . or free publicity.

If it's a typical Caesars property there are no tolerance levels for semi-intelligent play, they may as well buy out el Cortez and south point to cement their reputation.

Ben is a movie star so he should be familiar with putting on a disguise. That's what he gets for burning his face and being known as a card counter if the story is indeed true. His fame is his crutch on the BJ table.

That and an "insane" spread that just ASKED for him to be backed off.............LOL (and keeping count with chips).

You guys should read the comments in that GMA story; it's amazing how many people think that he deserved being backed off not for correct reason (because he was brazen and didn't disguise his betting properly) but because counting is "cheating" and the casinos have the right to bar whomever they want? Really? It's amazing the general public's attitude!

Hollywood has worked wonders to help shape the publics perception and imagination when it comes to BJ. Propaganda works, I was telling a lot of poker buddies of mine about card counting and when they hear that term the first thing out of their mouths was, "Isn't that illegal?" Automatic. I've heard that response from multiple people. That seems to be the general consensus from the public, "It's illegal."

As far as Batman Ben is concerned, since he has a reputation for being known as a card counter it's know wonder why casinos do not want his business. This is his second incident that I have heard of (even though an old story) where he has not been allowed to play BJ in the casino. Lesson learned, don't admit anything if the casino suspects that your gambling with an edge.
