    US Casino map

I want a map that plots all the casinos in the US on Google Earth. Similar to what Norm has for Las Vegas here. Does anyone know of where I can find this or if it exists?

I can plot out all the locations myself, but if the work is already done then I would really be interested in that.

You can also narrow down the search to a smaller area.

I second that. It would make scouting much more efficient. Anyone in the business of software development? If there was over whelming demand I'd see about getting an app made.

I had no idea there were so many casinos in Oklahoma. Are most of them tribal owned?

I noticed on the map Gronbog posted, there is a tab for casinos. If you click it, a list of casinos appears with a button on the top right to add a new casino. There are 846 casinos on the map. If everyone updated the map for the casinos in their area, there would be a pretty good map listing. Of course you have to enroll to update.

I am playing in a few BJ tournaments this weekend. I noticed they didn't make the board at BJ tournaments.com. I guess they are invite only. The biggest one is $1,000,000 prize pool. I am not sure the prize structure but it may be winner take all. Just as well, I don't need to be competingwith the talent over @ BJ tournaments.com.

Yeah, the tournament listings there are completely maintained by the members, as are the casino listings on the map I posted. There are only a few members who actively add events to the calendar. Despite that, I can tell you that if there is a playable event in your area, invitational or not, the local BJT enthusiasts will know about it and will be there. Whether they will post it or make themselves known is another matter.

From what I understand, you've been on the BJT site, so you might consider yourself among the talent

I think there are more casinos per capita in Oklahoma than any other state. After taking a quick look at the map at BJ tournaments, this is not even a complete list. They are all tribal owned(there is a small exception made for horse racing tracks). Other than needing to be tribal owned and the tribe establishing a compact with the state, there are very few barriers to entry. Most other states limit and control the number of casino licenses. This process does not exist in Oklahoma. Of course, capital to build a casino could be a barrier, but there is plenty of capital available from "investors" who do not need to be tribal members. Most of the casinos are small slot joints with little else to offer.

That map includes cardrooms and slot joints, so be sure to do your research before you plan a trip.

There are a TON of casinos in Oklahoma. Usually spread out away from central metro areas as must be on tribal land. Some would rival any casino in Tunica/Shreveport as to style (like WinStar in Thackerville (which is the largest casino floor space wise in the world) to Riverwind in Norman to RiverSpirit in Tulsa to Hard Rock in Tulsa/Catoosa to Choctaw Casino in Durant. But most are really small places and ALL are tribal gaming enterprises. Everyone of them has slot machines; not every one has table games or blackjack. Though most if they don't have tables, have blackjack machines to play. Remington Park Casino or Racino in Oklahoma City is a good place, too. While no tables, the casino on the middle floor is ALWAYS busy; has entertainment on weekends and special occasions and it's like visiting two different worlds. Horse racing enthusiasts and drinkers on one floor. Crazy casino in middle. And on top floor, the suites and finer dining.

Not sure if it was mentioned at all, but I'm almost positive you can type "casino" into google maps and have it plot out every.......single.......casino in the US and table distributions places as well.
