Oh, there are many ways to respond. I actually remember one trip I made to xxxx Casino. When they asked me what brought me from such a far distance, I said the truth that I came to play their 6, 7, 8 promotion. It wasn't a great promotion, but it was good enough to make their DD game positive expected value off the top. The game was already S17 with a house edge of only .32 percent and table limits of $5 to $100.

For the fun of it I just used the "Way Back Machine" to look up what the promotion was. Here is what the promotion said.

So if you just flat betted $5 you would have an off the top advantage of over 1.31 percent minus the house edge of 0.32 percent.

Anyway the year of this promotion, I made three trips across northern WI. All of them were winners, but only 2 of the 3 were winners at xxxx. Not long after this promotion they offered a great promotion and they got their ass handed to them. I don't think they have ever offered anything worth while since, but for me these trips across northern WI are pretty much over since I'm no longer welcome there.
