Thank you Freightman! I was going to ask it from Bigplayer referring back to his initial reply in the beginning of the thread.

Go play ping pong everyday for a few weeks. The skills you develop there are the exact same ones required to keep two moving numbers accurately in your head: Your score and your opponent's. The numbers fly around much faster in your head at the card table, but the concept is exactly the same.

I play cards professionally and use a complex count where both counts can get somewhat large(-ish) in number at times - i.e. the snapshot of a less frequent / outlier running count could be -42, +36, whatever. I think using two numbers is the best method. If you use letters for the side count then there is extra effort required to transpose that count back to its numerical value, and you already have enough to think about, like true count calculation(s), scaling bets / betting adjustments, index plays, being cognizant of what's going on around you and how you are being perceived by others, etc.

    Ping Pong.

True! Hi-Opt II count is very good for pitch games. Like single or two deck games. But for shoes games you will do as good using an Ace-reckoned unbalanced level 3 count system with or without true counting. Especially in an eight deck game.

I've just made a good SCORE in an 8 deck game using KO. 400 euro. Nothing major but successful short session. Not even an hour. Feels great.

Grama' ... You are only partially correct. Those counts (K.O. and T.K.O.)

only perform well when you are utilizing an aggressive bet spread

and have the bankroll to keep your Risk of Ruin to a reasonable level.

I have many students whose games I have improved mightily by rescuing

them from counts that ultimately lead to meager earnings and BACKOFFS.

KO and TKO are good strategies. I agree with Gramazeka.

I stand by my statement with the proviso Re: bet spread and Bankroll.

If those are "good strategies" then what are poor strategies; or are all equal?

In America the casinos seem to be a bit more paranoid when it comes to playing winning blackjack or when facing a winning card counter...I just don't understand why some PRO'S suggest 'burn and run' strategy? Some of yous are so aggressive with their bet spreads i suppose.
