It is not the players responsibility to protect the game for the casino. Golden Nugget will not only have to pay the players in full, but also pay a fine and reimburse the state of New Jersey for lost tax revenue on the $1.5 Million dollars they lost that they should not have lost. The Golden Nugget is also on the hook for assault, battery, kidnapping, and illegal detention for the player(s) that they locked in the backroom for 9 hours while trying to figure out why they lost. Golden Nuggets recourse is to sue the manufacturer for damages caused by a defective product. (Pre-shuffled cards were not pre-shuffled).
The biggest loss GN has is the loss of Asian customers forever. Word has no doubt spread that the Golden Nugget is run by a bunch of sore losers and thugs. Most of the damage caused to the otherwise good name of the Golden Nugget in AC was no doubt caused by former Trump Marina employees who ALL should have been fired the day that Landry's took that place over. I attempted to play there recently and was told that because I did not want to be rated that I could not bet more than one hand of $100 (on a $100 minimum table). What a joke!
