Interview with Mohegan Sun (Ct) table games director about his job

That's Don Bowen, formally of Atlantic City. He's been at Mohegan Sun for awhile now. Too bad we didn't get to see the poor penetration that the Sun is famous for.

"We cut off 2 to 2.5 decks. This way we thwart the card counters. That's the most important thing, even if we do cut our revenue by much more than we protect from counters by slowing our games down."

Don't get drunk or aggressive, don't steal. Your name or face shouldn't be in a database of undesirables. Smile, don’t count cards and win big. :-)

If I had a financial interest in Mohegan, I would find this a shocking stupid statement. He seems to be saying that he is harming both the customers and the bottom line to satisfy some personal grudge.

“Here at MS Grocery store, we print all our prices in roman numerals to thwart clever shoppers, even though it costs us money by slowing the checkout lines and pisses off our customers.”
