It looks like people are leaving the games they always lose at in favor of games that allow them to win on occasion. It seems the casinos raising their edge to make more money is driving the customers to other venues than Vegas. It is tough to get them back once your crappy games have driven them elsewhere. They are not interested in returning when they have found something better. That just leaves drawing new customers constantly. Tat is a poor business model as any businessman can tell you.

Well, the middle class in the country has been annihilated. So goes the middle class, so goes the country, so goes the casinos. Millions of jobs that were once here are now gone. That is what happens amidst a severe recession. Besides for the games dwindling the casinos are offering games with worse payouts.

And then the few customers notice the deteriorating conditions and their business sinks causing worse games and even more customers lost. It is a viscous circle.

So true Tthree. Oh man. So true. It's a sad state of affairs in the gaming world when you can see what's going on around you and the masses cannot, or are completely oblivious to it. I have seen a lot of "downsizing" in the gaming industry just within the last year. It's odd how I feel that things will only get worse. Just don't know how much worse in the future.

There are also many more casinos opening up all around the US and world. Why fly all the way to Vegas somewhere just to gamble? The various non-gambling attractions are a bigger draw, IMHO, than all the casinos.
If strip casinos were to offer 1D, S17, DAS, 3:2 deeply dealt games all of a sudden, they wouldn't attract many new non-AP customers.
Most gamblers, even intelligent ones, have no idea about H17 or 6:5.

One area where strip casinos are shooting themselves in the foot, is in cutting back on the comps. They should offer free rooms to anyone with a pulse, unless they're hosting a convention that week and happen to be booked.

6:5 is a carny game not BJ.
