There’s akwatpys s8me asshole out there that really Fucks up your game. I’ve had “some” success saying I won’t okay with this guy - can 7 set me up with my own table, or exclude him from it. Some places in my neck of the woods will give you a private table with either a 5k or 10k buy in. I’ve done it with 5k, keeping in mind that I really want to stay below government reporting limits.
First, a lease cost of $1800 month would imply a machine value of ~100K which is not very rational. I do not believe casino management would give up a percentage of revenue to these people when the machines actually cause many to not play.
If you know the average bet, percent of time in use, number of rounds per hour then you can calculate the added "revenue" provided by the game being productive when a human dealer would have been dealing. Something like this would have been the financial analysis done for the decision to use the machines. I can lease a high end Mercedes for much less than $1800 a month, makes no sense.
Reality is, the machines must improve their revenues or they will not use them. There are many stories where they were installed and then removed due to player complaints. Yet, they are purvasive on the strip in low limit 6:5 games whcih are full with the idiots that play them.
FInally, and to the point, what difference does it make to us if they are purchased or rented??
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!
Update: Mr 140 was unsurprisingly back again, doing the same blatant 7x200 shit. I'm sorry Freightman, I initially tried to screw him over like I said I would. Always splitting tens and hitting 14/15/16 against 4-6 and whatnot. I'm just not that cold. Nice guys finish last I guess. Shame on me.
Anyway, this fucker was there for about 7 hours. He was down to about 1k (chips that I could see) and rebounded to around 10k by the end of the night. He was so happy with himself. When he left I just had to vent. So I said to a pit boss "I'm amazed that you let a card counter spread from 1-140. Other casinos would kick/bar him in 5 minutes if he did that". To which she replied "oh but he was down a lot and he only got it back right at the end. (casino name withheld) is all CSM so he couldn't do that there).
I could have literally facepalmed my head to a fleshy pulp...
So I basically explained standard deviation to her and that this guy could potentially cost them more than 20k per hour. Nothing. Completely and utterly clueless.
For those fellow countrymen who know my local haunt, don't bother. It's going completely CSM in the near future. RIP the once mecca of card counting in this country. I'm fucking done with this shit..
The casino near me rents their CSM. I have spoken directly with their table games director about it. It ran off all their whales and the table remains mostly empty. We've all complained. He refuses to put the shoe back. He is convinced he will eventually see a 2% increased return due to lack of shuffling downtime and also has a longer rent contract. Dealers have been quitting because of it too. It ran off all the good tippers along with the whales.

Hi Bushie, do you know how many shoe games they have in the HL room? I cant imagine that they would replace the shoe games in there with CSM's.
I thought that they went completely CSM a few months ago. The last time i played there, they only had one shoe game left on the main gaming floor.
I wouldn't put it past them. This is a place that built a walled off section on the main floor for VIP-only pokies after all if you can believe it..
As for your question I am not sure. I do know that you can buy in for access to the high limit room downstairs for an unspecified amount, probably 5k or so, without membership.
Mostly yes. They had a couple tables with shoes lately because there were a couple of CSMs that were away for repairs. They should be back soon and then it's CSMs all day every day . Maybe it's high time I actually learned to play poker well..I thought that they went completely CSM a few months ago. The last time i played there, they only had one shoe game left on the main gaming floor.
I know that casinos have to rent auto shufflers, they can't buy them. At the time it was shuffle master, now its ballys i think, not sure but that was a few years ago. I heard from a vp at the casinp that the cost is a couple thousand a month. He could be telling me porkies, i dont know it sounded legit. As for csm, those could be $3000 per month who knows.
I know that treasure island here in minnesota got rid of all there CSM's. I asked why and they said it didnt draw in the gamblers like hand shuffle tables do.
