Is hole carding blackjack or other casino card games viable nowadays?

Its a skillset, that has much more limited usage opportunities due to machine shuffling, and casino awareness.
However, if you are capable of efficiently deploying this skillset, at least in those limited times it is possible, you can decide whether you want to focus on it as an AP tactic rather than on strictly card counting.
Your call to make.

I can still see hole carders at Blackjack tables occasionally. The advantage is huge compared to counting because they know exactly what dealer's down card is. But since how they play is so different from anybody else, all the successful hole carders I see limit their session to 30 minutes or less. Also they need a wheelchair and an assistant.
If you sit next to a hole carder who stand on 16/15/14/13/12 v 7/8/9/T/A and you have a similar hand. Stand like him because the dealer down card is a low card.
There are several carnival type table games that are exposed to hole carding and can provide an attractive edge considerably better than blackjack. You will need specially designed strategies to be successful and in many cases a partner(s) to effectively implement.
Luck is nothing more than probability taken personally!
