What a session. Down total 328 over the last three sessions combined. At what point should you look at resizing your bankroll on blackjack H17 playing I18? I still have 840 units behind.
I'd echo what others have said -- you need to examine ALL the parameters of your work. That also means not only the specific conditions and rules, but the time of day and the amount of sleep you've had, when you ate, what you ate ... everything. Its a mental work, so you need to understand every factor going into your mental state.
But Some dude named “Colin” never told him this could happen. Some old dudes who played the game in the last century said it was easy...Here is Van the man saying it...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UUWkr4FUlo
Freightman I spread 1-4x2 at TC +2 6x2 on TC +3 and 8x2 on TC +4 on DD games usually. In total the downswing from start to now occurred in about 8 hours. I did play one six deck for an hour that's where the majority of the losses stemmed from. Couldn't win a hand at TC+4 or higher.
Thanks for the advice ZeeBabar. I'll be spending some time back in the lab to gather myself before returning to the casino.
UNCBear i didn't feel like anything was off, but I'll go on a run before the next session. I can always improve in regards to exercise.
With your previously disclosed bankroll of 28k, your min is $25, so,
negative to +2 at 1x25
true 2 at 2x100
true 3 at 2x150
true 4 at 2x200
Don’t know what the deck pen but assuming reasonable rules at .5 house edge, your ramping is not optimal. 2x100 is reasonable with your .5 house edge at true 2. True 3 doubles your advantage so that should be 2x200 versus your 2x150. Your true 4 should then be 2x300. (Not taking bankroll size into account)
Those numbers are heavy on 28k bankroll, so should be checked again on CVCX. That means you you should resize, but in proportion to the ramp suggested here, reducing your true 2 bet further taking into account the actual house edge. Further, your bankroll requirements are far less at double deck than they are at 6 deck. You mentioned that most of your loss came at 6 deck. Assuming you used the same ramp as double deck deck true counts, you were underfunded at 6 deck.
So, if I’m correct in these assumptions, you have lost 6k of a 28k bankroll, about a 28% hit, leaving you with 22k. Suggest you resize, evaluate your standard rules and sim based on reduced bankroll. Further, I think you stated that you accounted for living expenses on your 30 day planned journey. I really don’t think you have. Further, I believe you said you have approx 100 hours of actual play with lots of practice play. I may be wrong in some detail, but the conclusion I came to was that you are not seasoned enough nor ready. Last, you indicated that you plan a slash and burn approach. That’s a high variance style of play which, as you just experienced, is a killer on an underfunded bankroll.
Yeah I've been simming in CVCX and although a poor result it's not out of the range of the program. Not that's it's such of a consolation. As far as the best ramp I'll retreat to $50 for TC +2 that should be more optimal. There's no way my roll can handle increasing my max bet until it grows. The sim said I was at a 3% ROR when I started and my bankroll is back to the same spot so I'm just gonna ride with it and hope I'm not one of the three in a hundred. I'm not seasoned, but I'm ambitious and there's only one way to figure out if I can make it.
So, 1x50 at true 2, means 1x100 at true 3, and 1x150 at true 4 - or 2 hands of same. Further, if table min is 25, then as per this and comments on my prior post. If table min is $ 10, then $25 off the top with drop to $10 at -1 or 2. This increases effective spread.
Ambition is wonderful, so is a seasoned player. There’s the story of the race between the turtle and the rabbit. It’s a long distance journey and slow and steady usually wins the race.
