Caesars Entertainment does not give much in the way of TR points for table games play unless you're playing a real sucker game like Roulette. You can assume that for every hour you play at a $100 average bet you will get about $1.50 in comp dollars and 150 points added to your tier score. Most of the value you will get comes in the form of mail offers. There is, however, another comp balance which you cannot see that is controlled by the host at that property. I'd suggest you keep your point balance as close to zero as you can and hit up the on property host for additional comps that they control.
I've found MGM's comps to be a bit more generous than Caesars Entertainment but not as generous as they used to be and again a host has access to more comps once you exhaust the comp balance visible on your card.
But yes, you are correct, comps for table game players has been cut dramatically. That's the price you pay for generous mail and a visible comp balance that you control. It is also true that if the casino has decided you're a very tough player to beat they will change your skill level to one that give you even less comps. If this has suddenly just happened it could mean that you are on thin ice or are being evaluated. You might consider buying in big and then giving some idiot play for 45 minutes to see if it changes anything or play some "square" games like Roulette or Baccarat.
