    Vegas trip

Hi there, I posted the following in the Las Vegas section, but it seems to be gathering little interest. Hopefully the free section here will yield more discussion:

Hi there, your resident Australian Koz here. After a trip to Vegas last year, I am again returning in November. This will be part of a larger trip and, as such, will only have about 2 full days of play. My concern for heat etc. is, given the length of the trip and unlikelihood I will return for at least another 12 months, non existent. In saying that, what would be my best bets (pardon the pun) for 2 days of play at a $25 level? Of course, I'd want to be able to play unnoticed for at least a couple hours at each joint, so I won't be attacking El Cortez!. I'll pick up a copy of CBJN, too. Feel free to PM me any recommendations if the info is sensitive. Thanks in advance.

I thought the whole point of Vegas was so that you don't have to do couple hours per joint. Rather per shoe and leave when it turns negative, you bounce to the next. And perhaps when you've rotated enough, you come back to the first and repeat leave once it turns negative again.

I would recommend to bypass Vegas and play Reno. But that's me.

I'd consider bypassing the entire state.

Reno? I've never been, but I've heard countless reports that Reno is just as sweaty, if not worse, than Vegas. At least Vegas has a wide variety of casinos concentrated in one area.

Unfortunately, it's going to have to be Vegas.

Not necessarily. There's a couple of good games if you know where to look.

Please PM if you have any suggestions. I'm not overly familiar with the area having only been once. Cheers.

Where are you staying? Assume you will have a car. Also, do u have access to BJ21. I presume they still have the monthly Vegas casino ratings by Fine Tuner. Perhaps Bear will send you a complementary copy if you are not a member.. I can send you couple of downtown honeypots, but I would not want the info spread.

Not sure where I'm staying yet. Last time I went I stayed at the Flamingo and then Circus Circus. Circus Circus stole my security deposit so I don't think I'll go back! I would appreciate the downtown suggestions, I'll be sure not to spread it.
