Casinos are scared of dealer collusion. Changing dealers is their first defense when the table is dumping. This is the main reason for a dealer change and not in order to burn a card.
Also, the average person's math skills aren't what they used to be because of the predominant use of calculators and computers. People get little practice at using even the most basic of math skills. I was recently in a Fazoli's that had a malfunctioning cash register. My bill came to $6.73. I handed the cashier $7. He had to use a calculator to figure out I had .27 change coming. Well at least he got it right, even if he couldn't do the math in his head.
The new math and there is no wrong answer that goes with it doesn't help either. What matters is that you tried to get the right answer. I just realized I played a chunky session with no dealer errors for anybody. That doesn't happen too often. There was some almost errors but none got through to actually being paid.
Also the stores i play at, sometimes they dont even go on break they literally just switch table to table, LOL. What a joke seriously. I hate casinos with a passion. Dealer collusion? Give me a break.. Switching them from table to table wont prevent that at all, the player will eventually play with that dealer again. Cant stand casinos, and each day my anger towards them gets even more heated.
They don't trust the dealers. I guess you mean the management... Well, they don't trust the dealers, they don't trust the players, they don't trust their own pit bosses, they don't trust their security, they don't trust the cleaners, they don't trust their lawyers, they don't trust their accountants, and they don't trust their government. They probably don't even trust their wives... There is a serious trust issue with casinos, very evident whenever you walk in one. You should stay away from distrustful orgs. Better stay in church.
Luk what they are sayin in that green joint...

You may have chosen the wrong pursuit if you feel this way. Casinos protect their games from threats from the biggest threat down to small threats. In house theft is their biggest threat. That is why they do all these things. Be glad that is their primary focus or counting cards would be almost impossible. All these procedures are the casinos focusing their game protection on the other side of the table. The amount it affects you is so small that your concern that they are trying to mess you up is almost laughable. A couple casinos I visit don't ever burn a card and deal a round after the cut card. The still switch dealers lie every other place. Near a shift change I have had 5 dealers in one shoe. I had minimum bet out so obviously it had nothing to do with me. When they change dealers just think of all their focus being on the dealer as a threat not you and realize what a plus that is.
This wouldn't burn enough cards to make a difference in the count unless your deep in the shoe but then I think the relief usually waits until the shoe is finished. And they could just as well be burning in a negative count. Don't let it eat at you, its just 1 extra card behind the cut card. Doesn't change things one iota.
Ok explain switching dealers that are not going on break, but rather to the table right next to their current table? Casino scared of dealer collusion? give me a break, if it is, that's sad. These little things just annoy me, its not so much about the effects of it, but rather stupid little nuances that make no sense at all to me.
