Newbee: KO software question??
Using Ko preferred single deck IRC 0. What is the correct play when the player has 12 against a dealer 4,5, and 6 when the running count is 0? Stand or Hit? I think we "stand" on 0 and above. But I'm confused because the KO software (version 2.5) says if player has 12 vs a dealer 4, 5, and 6 that we "Hit if RC is less than or EQUAL to 0". Is this correct or should it read "Hit if less than 0"? Thanks for any help.

Bottom line: it doesn't matter. When the count is precisely on the threshold, it makes little difference what you do. In general, however, the interpretaion of hit/stand indices is to stand if we achieve the index or above. But 12 v. 4 is odd because the BS is to stand anyway, so the departure is really when we're below the index, as you point out.
I'd stand if the TC is exactly zero, but someone may know what the precise index is, and I may be wrong.

You are correct. It should be "Hit if less than 0"

Thanks Norm and Don. Quick and accurate answers are why this sight is the best! Just noticed that the KO software will not allow me to make the proper corrections. But I can set it up correctly in Casino Verte.
