Don Schlesinger: Possible confusion??
Are you sure you're talking about James Grosjean's "Beyond Counting" and not Ian Andersen's "Burning the Tables in Las Vegas"?
I just have a feeling that you might be talking about the latter.

Lol!
Agravated and frustrated yes, angry? No.
I am not asking the price, I am asking what is on the menu:-)

Bettie: FWIW
Regarding your earlier post about short-printed books, I really don't know what AS was thinking at the time. Maybe he didn't think it would sell, maybe that's the arrangement he had with James, but we'll never know.
Now, as for your concern if it will actually teach you how to beat the casinos, I have heard that, not long after we had run out of the book, Caesar's spent some time calling around and finding where the remaining copies were in order to send people to buy them up. Take it for what it's worth, but they supposedly sent someone down to buy the last 3 copies from GBC. If it's true, then they must've been pretty serious about knowing what info the book had.

Jake {|:>): Re: Beyond Counting
I have 2 copies, one stays out at my cottage, the other travels with me often. Would I sell my second copy for $200? No.
Better talk to Bettie before I buy her copy for a friend.
A lot of the book deals with gaining an advantage from hole carding. But that is something you learn to do on your own.
Oh yes, there is a lot of math explained and it is necessary for understanding the playing strategies for various games when you know one or more of the dealers cards.
If you want to just be a card counter and not an advantage player at other games the book is not for you.
