FLAPlayer: Question for Don S
Hi Don,
I recently started reading "Blackjack Attack" and it is great- I am currently reading about risk of ruin- I am not a strong Math guy and have had problems following the formulas and the charts- here is my questions for "trip" risk of ruin: I am wonging in at +1, leaving at TC of -1, 6 deck, S17, DAS, RSA, LS, 75% Pen- I intend to play 16 hours. What is my necessary BR for the 1 in 10 risk of ruin? I follow your betting sequence 1-12 with 2 hands of 6 units at a TC of +5
How many units should my BR be for my trip? I am guessing 2500 units for a 10% ROR.
Thanks in advance for your help

You don't mention the count. Let's say hi-lo. Someone would have to sim your exact conditions to come up with EV and SD. Then, I can answer the questions.
Here's a very rough estimate: Hourly EV is about 2.5 units, while SD is about 38 units. For a 16-hour trip, you'd have 10% ROR with about 220 units of bank.

See above. You're off by a factor of 10!!!
