Not related to the handling checks but I've heard dealers mention catching the flu since they usually stand within the spray distance of an infectious sneezer playing at the table, can't move, and can't be seen covering their mouths/noses.

Place your saved chips in a (high gauge) plastic bag.
At home, drop them in a basin with a reasonable
concentration of chlorine bleach. Let them soak.
Rinse, dry with an electric hair dryer, repack in a
    clean plastic bag.

One way to help prevent getting sick is frequent hand washing. Chips are filthy (especially Trump Plaza). Make a conscious effort not to touch your mouth or nose while at the tables.
Very good advice! Also, GET A FLU SHOT PEOPLE!

Just tried that: a stack of black and green chips are now all white.

    Thanks for nothing!

When on my two marathon trips a year, I try to get reguler sleep, bring concentrated green tea with me and mix it into the water bottles, eat a few salads a week, take DHEA in the morning and meletonin at night, and try to get an hour or so of sun every day.
I also try to locate a new labyrinth I have not walked each trip.

I had a dealer the other day who had a cold and kept coughing in her hand(s). All other dealers in the past had the sense to cough in the crook of their arm and not on their hands that were handling cards and chips. Ugh!

I've started seeing a decline in my health since I started playing more, and ever since I started taking Vitamins regularly the casino germs dont seem to bother me as much and get sick less frequently. Between being on the planes and casinos in what feels like marathon sessions, the body could use the extra help.

On a side note, I have increased my use of Febreze, as well as more loads of laundry with increased trips!

I know this will not be a fit for many of you but perhaps a few of you will want to check into Guided Imagery Meditation.

For me, getting adequate sleep and staying on a reasonable eating schedule is paramount. That said, on a week long trip to Vegas, usually one or both go by the wayside....
