SpecialT: internet access
I have heard that between telephone calls and internet access, you can really get hosed. Unfortunately, I am going to need to check work emails and possibly upload a couple of files.
My hotel choice has been narrowed down to Circus Circus (15 year old teen son) or Flamingo. Can anyone share experience at either? Cost, quality of connection? It's really a detail I am not excited about, but a necessity.
TIA

Haven't stayed at the Flamingo in many years, but I can tell you that Circus Circus has good quality Wifi for $12.95 per 24 hour period, IIRC.
The West tower is the newest and best; avoid the "Manor Rooms," which are old dumpy motel-style rooms several miles (or so it seems) from the casino.
The Steak House is one of the best in Vegas, which is pretty weird, considering the location. Avoid the coffee shop and buffet.

I would avoid Circus Circus. The place caters to a loud, unruly clientele. Of course, the Flamingo is going to cost much more.

If cost is a primary concern, the link below provides a list of free Wi-Fi hotspots in the area:

Quite true - low rollers with hordes of screaming brats.
However, if I had a 15 year old son with whom I wished to do some bonding, I cannot think of a casino better suited for it. :-)

Dave, thanks for the link. I'm going to the Rio Monday, and wondered about free wifi. Interesting that the Super 8 motels offer free wifi in the rooms, but none of the big casino-hotels do.
