What sort of stakes are you looking for? Shoes or double deck?

Hard 8 :: ::: Re: Advice for beginner
Assuming you're counting, you probably don't want to stay at any of the best blackjack venues. Stay at whatever place appeals to you, and play elsewhere. If you're on a low budget, pick somewhere downtown or centrally located mid-strip, (eg Flam), as most of the megas at the south end (Manda Bay, Luzor, Bellag etc etc)have crappy access to bus lines. And the ugly mess around Paree and Ven and Siezure's Palace is really crummy for pedestrians in addition to being architecturally offensive.
If you're a mid-roller riding cabs, the lines at the megas are atrocious. If you're driving, then it doesn't seem to make much difference, but you'll want to learn some back streets, as LV traffic, at most times of day is sucky.
Oh, yeah: have fun.
