SpiderMan: Where is the best NY steak in town?
And, where are the best Japanese & Chinese restaurants?

Hollywood Dave: STEAK
Believe it or not, the best NY Steak in town is at JAX (@ the Golden Nugget) -- huge, tender, gorgonzola-encrusted juicy NY strip, simply amazing.
But for the best restaurant steak you've ever had, hands down, go get yourself the Filet Mignon @ DRAI'S (believe it or not, downstairs @ Barbary Coast -- but clearly under different management than the rest of that lame casino).
Of course, you are not under any circumstances to order your steak cooked any further than medium-rare (preferably rare) -- or you will miss the cornucopia of flavors that make these 2 steaks some of the best anywhere!

The New York steak at the Binion's Horseshoe 24th floor Ranch Steakhouse used to be as good as any.
I haven't been there since Harrah's took over. Does anyone know if it has gone downhill?
And speaking of the Horseshoe - I stayed there five times in a little more than a year just before Binion's went under and have yet to receive an invitation to come back. I know they were not afraid of my red action or is that the reason they don't care to see me again?

methodman: circus has a hell of a nice spot too. *NM*

Bettie: Austin's at Texas Station (NLV)
I don't do Japanese, but the China Spice restaurant at Green Valley Ranch casino is pretty good.

Two good choices for steak.
1. Palms. Downstairs at Caesar's.
2. Stratosphere. Pricey of course.
Personally, we hit several good places in June of this year, but the consensus was that the Palms was the best place we ate at, even though it was not the most expensive (it is not cheap of course).

I understand you are on TV or movies. Is that correct?
If so where would I have seen you on display?
The name sounds familiar but I can't place you.
I had a bit part in the movie, "Reindeer Games".
Strength and Honor,
Ouchez.

Yep, Austin's is in my top ten for Vegas steaks.
The Sushi restaurant at GVR is excellent as well.
And for Chinese/Szechuan, well, just head west on Spring Mountain....I'm sure you'll find some excellent places to dine.
Bettie, BTW, could you check on the Forte book for me. If you could email the particulars, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
