zengrifter: "Java Virtual Machine Failed"
I get the above warning flag when I boot. My machine noticably slowed down when it started appearing. This happened after I used a file-sharing app.
What is Java Virtual Machine and how do I repair it?
Thanks, anybody! zg

Java Virtual Machine is the runtime environment needed to run Java apps. There's a popular Gnutella client (file sharing program) that is written in Java (the name escapes me at the moment). Perhaps this is the one you downloaded. Perhaps upgrading your Java environment will fix the problem. Have a look at java.sun.com (I think you just need to download the JRE (Java Runtime Environment)). Alternatively, you may want to remove that file sharing program.

I assume the file sharing app is "LimeWire" which is java based. Go to Sun's website and download the latest java virtual machine.
Go to the link below and click on the "free download" in the green box (top right hand area) and it should send you in the right direction.
