    Prospero: Casino Morongo

Does anyone know what the conditions are like there? I heard that they'd eliminated the per hand charge.

Never been to Casino Morongo but was thinking of taking the SO to Palm Springs for the weekend and wanted something to do other than play golf.

If you're going to be in Palm Springs, the Spa Hotel & Casino is right in the middle of town, has been recently remodeled, and has some very playable shoes (S17, DAS, RSA). Just a short drive out to I-10 is the larger Agua Caliente casino (owned by the same tribe) with the same game. Nearby are Trump 29 and Fantasy Springs.

I haven't been in Morongo since they eliminated the collection, but it was always crowded then, and I don't imagine that eliminating the collection made it any less crowded. Besides, the games there are H17 DAS.

I visited PS within the last 2weeks and Parker's comments are accurate. I would not stop at Morongo because of crowded tables.

Actually just got back from Palm Springs on Sat. Morongo is a complete waste of time as they were all crowded shoes on a sat afternoon. They are building an expansion though so it might get better. Didn't get the chance to hit Spa, but Trump had a couple of decent double deckers, no resplit but S17 is a nice feature all too rare out west here. Fantasy Springs was a nice place with minimal heat, was able to get a 12 unit spread at a 5/6 shoe with not more then a glance and a smile from the pit. Although they did have a shoe shuffle a few hands before the cut card (which I had never seen before) when I attempted to Wong in. Appears Fantasy Springs is much more tolerant of play all then Wong. Hope some of this helps!
