The Beau has fair to good pen. in their 6d games according to the dealer. The shoe has a slot through which the cut card is inserted which is supposed to give a 1.5 dk cut. Depending on how the dealer is holding the cards when the cut card is inserted, you sometimes get a better cut. Their 6d games have late surrender, no signs, but they offer it. Minimums are as low as 5 or 10 on the 6d. The 2dk games also use a slot in the discard shoe for inserting the cut card. After the cards are shuffled and cut by the player, the dealer puts them into the discard shoe, inserts the cut-card through a slot, removes the cards and begins the deal. There is no surrender on the 2dk. games. The slot in the two dk games provides a pretty good pen. by Biloxi standards. Haven't seen the variation in the 2dk pen that I see sometimes in the 6dk. 2dk games have 25,50,100 minimums. The 2dk games are watched closer than the 6dk games!

Rooms are among the nicest in Biloxi. Food is good. Buffet is usually crowded. Weekends are normally crowded with most tables open. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

I am sorry to report that Biloxi-Gulfport is pretty much of a blackjack wasteland, which is sad considering the number of casionos there ? eleven, not including Bay St. Louis.

The Beau offers the only decent game for even moderate stakes players ? talking green chippers here. Both their 6-deck and two deck games are good. For low stakes players, Treasure Bay and Copa offer some pretty good games. Other than that, forget it. If you drive past the Beau Rivage, you've gone too far. The six casinos on that end of the beach would have to make some major improvements to upgrade their games to trash.

A few highlights: The Isle of Capri is about the worst ? eight-deck shoes and a 2-deck game that is about the worst I've seen. Last time I checked, their penetration was about 40-45 percent. In other words, they were shuffling up before one deck is even dealt out.

The New Palace, which previously had some OK games, was giving pen. of no more than 50 percent and sometimes less, ala Isle of Capri, in their "high-stakes" area.

Casino Magic no longer even has 2-deckers, instead replacing them with fake double-deck. For those still not aware of this rip-off, don't be fooled. They are eight-deck games in which the dealer strips out two decks and pitches them to make it look like a double-deck game.

In my opinion, Biloxi is fine if you're just passing through and want to hit one or two places. But it's not worth making a special trip there, as it's tough to get in any real hours with the very limited choices. Please advise your non-counting gambling friends to avoid Biloxi and give their business those those venues that still deal a fair game of blackjack.
