a BJ player: playing at the "comfort zone"
Am I right, that playing at the "comfort zone" means quarter
Kelly?? I assume, that most of the pros hate half Kelly betting. It is very safe, but after a bad fluctuation you must reduce your max. bet.

Every player has their own comfort zone. Some will accept a 13% initial ROR while others strive for 2%, or anywhere in between. Some players can afford to play for high stakes but prefer to play for medium stakes because they cannot handle the huge swings. Some players can't afford it but bet too high (either purposely or unknowingly) in order to maintain a decent hourly wage.
I?m on the ?chicken? end of the scale. I prefer around a 2-5% ROR and will adjust my playing and betting strategy in order to maximize my profit from there.

I bet the big professional bank rolls are playing at or near 0.5%. How great would that be!?
I know the grass is always greener, blah, blah, blah and those guys do have to fade the real heat, it's true, but guys like me .. it feels like I'm on the razor's edge each time out.
50 max bets? I'm in.
