Electric Kid: Vote No on Proposal 1 in MI (Gambling)

It sounds nice, "let the people of MI decide if they want gambling", but gambling is already here in MI and a yes vote will just give the Indians a monoply on gaming. No competition equals bad games for everyone.

Below is link to information about this proposal. I'm still trying to figure out how agriculture would be hurt if this proposal passes.

They're really pushing it when they mention the impact on the lucrative "straw-supply" industry, though.

There are now nine casinos in San Diego county, yet Del Mar Racetrack ("Where the Surf Meets the Turf") just completed one of its most profitable seasons ever.

The casinos and the track actually work together, with off-track betting available at several of the casinos, and some of the casinos even sponsoring promotions at the track.
