Booshey: Re: "Blackjack Attack 3rd Ed." Table

    Hi all,
On the bottom of pg. 133 it says:

"A quick glance ahead to Table 10.44, p. 237, tells us that, with our customary 1-12 spread, we can expect to win 2.33 units (of $14,99 each) per hour (100 hands played), with a corresponding s.d. of 40.13 units."

Looking at table 10.44 I can't relate those numbers. What am I missing?

    Thank you for any clarifications.

    OK.

For all of the tables, the BR is $10,000. Since the PA (play-all) Practical 1-12 spread shows a bank of 667 units, those units are worth $14.99 each.

The hourly win is given as $34.97. $34.97/$14.99 = 2.33 units.

The SD/100 (hands) in dollars is 602.03. 602.03/14.99 = 40.16 units. The discrepancy with the 40.13, quoted in the text, is probably due to rounding.

    Clear?
