HOLLYWOOD: Ritz Carlton in Puerto Rico

    Hello room:

    I have a question?

Does anyone know anything about the game at the Ritz Carlton in San Juan?

Beside conditions, I would like to know how many tables they have?

And even more important, if high limits prevail?

    Happy Cards

Can't answer the current conditions question. I can say that proximity to the airport is why a lot of Wall Streeters used to go there on weekends and blow a lot of money. Which is to say they are used to action. Isla Verde is a much better area than it was 30 years ago. Used to be a cock-fighting rink there.

Thanks Norm, always nice to hear from you.

I have not seen you in a while. However, I spend alot of time with night train and your name always comes up in a wonderful way.

You, like the Don are truly one of the good guys.

I'm gonna pass on the cockfighting

    Hey 'Wood

I just returned from PR a few weeks ago and play there 3-4 times/year.

During days, you should see 2-3 tables open. One $5-$200, and a $25-$1000. Occasionally there will be an intermediate level table open, and I have seen them raise to $50 or $100 minimum on request. You can usually play heads up or with maybe one other player at the quarter table.

About 7pm they open up the whole pit which has 6 tables, and on weekends, they will open 2-3 more over by the poker tables. Very busy at night--full tables until almost midnight.

Game is dealt down to 1-1.4 decks. Generous comps.

Thank you so much, that was very kind of you to respond to my request.

I'll let you know how it goes.

That's going to be quite helpful
Please let me know if you can think of anything else that might help.

Good luck...On my last trip, I was surprised to see the ESJ and Intercontinental dealing down to 1.3 decks +/-. Also, the Courtyard Marriott had ES10 except at their $5 tables.

    Go get 'em!
