trying: Is there software that can run sim of Spanish 21?
I have been using CVDATA 3.0. I can not figure out how to sun a sim of Spanish 21 with all these complex rules. Is there any software( like professional version of cv sim) that I can use to run sp 21? according to Wizard of odds , sp 21 with double double rule, the BS edge is even lower than regular BJ, but it draws much less heat to spread big in Sp 21 game. What is the easy and efficient system to count Sp 21? I found articles in GC about it , but I need a lot more accurate stattistics before I can play in casino. Some sim will help a lot.
thanks

Hi-Lo.

It won't do you any good right now, but in not too long, a spectacular work on Spanish 21 and its sister game, Australian Pontoon, which I have just finished proofreading, will be published by a hitherto unknown Australian author. But, she isn't going to be unknown for long, after the book comes out, because it is destined to become the authoritative, definitive treatise on the subject. It's truly a masterful piece of work.

CVData V4 has a template set up for SP21. However, the one rule not simmed is the redouble available in some casinos.

For sure.

If I did, it would be a Foreword (:-)), but I haven't thought about that yet. Could be.

Good for you then.

You are so brutal; my ignorance is exposed yet again.

General Franco: Spanish 21 book
When will the book on Spanish 21 be available and what will it cost?

Hard to say. I mailed the manuscript back to the author a few days ago. In all likelihood, the book will be self-published, but that decision isn't 100% final yet. I'm not sure that the cost has been determined yet. I'll let you know. But, it will hardly matter, because, if you ever plan to play Spanish 21 or Pontoon, you will need to own the book.

I hope this book doesn't bring the heat on those of us who have been playing this game successfully for the last few years. If I start getting half shoed on this game, it's going to be very depressing. I'm sure the book will cover how powerful the Ace is in this game as well as a few different count systems. I suppose no secrets last forever.

I hope I can help.

Try "Multiplay Video Poker" from Masque. A good VP game, the software "also includes" Blackjack and Spanish 21. A simulation mode for Blackjack and Spanish 21 is available, however the basic strategy cannot be altered in the simulation.

Actually, s17 (which doesn't allow double double down [redoubling]) is ALSO better than regular BJ.
I hope this has helped. Replies appreciated.
