V-man: Question About EV, SCORE, and N0

Let's say I have achoice between these 2 games:
    1. 2 decks, S17, DAS, Pen=52, HiLo, I18, spread 1-8
    2. 6 decks, S17, DAS, LS, Pen=1.5D, HiLo, I18, spread 1-12

From qfit.com web site, I found the following sim data:
    For game 1, EV=0.92, SCORE=31.32, N0=31837
    For game 2, EV=0.99, SCORE=30.67, N0=32656

Question #1: Are the numbers (EV,SCORE,N0) correct?
Question #2: Game 1 has better SCORE than game 2 but EV is less. If I plan to play long enough (maybe long time passing the N0 values of either games), should the EV value more important than SCORE?

These numbers are so close the difference is essentially insignificant. That said, SCORE takes into account the EV and adds the element of risk, so SCORE is more important.

    Try a comparison at www.bjstats.com

The calculator on that site shows that for a bank of $10k, win rate for Game 1 is 30.56, and that for Game 2 is $30.38 (I-18 and Fab4 Surr).

    From BJA3, p. 254, SCORE is 33.52. EV is 0.96%.

    > 2. 6 decks, S17, DAS, LS, Pen=1.5D, HiLo,
    > I18, spread 1-12

    From BJA3, p. 240, SCORE is 32.50. EV is 1.01%.

A few assumptions changed from the time the Web site was constructed to the time we re-did Chapter 10 for BJA3.

    See above.

    > Question #2: Game 1 has better SCORE than
    > game 2 but EV is less.

Right. The unit sizes for optimal bets are different. The DD game has a unit of $15.92, while the shoe has $12.52. So, the higher EV is on a smaller unit bet and also a smaller average bet ($32.09 for the shoe and $35.16 for DD).

No. The SCORE is what you should go by.
