    Brick Waller: Expectation of BJRM

If anyone uses BJRM I have a few questions on how you figure out your true expectation according to the conditions you play under.

I have BJRM 2000 but have not used it in a while(my other pc). After well over 50,000 rounds of action at casinos,I've decided to get out BJRM and re-evaluate my strategy as well as ev. However I have a slight problem finding expectation as expressed in BJRM according to the conditions I play under. BJRM allows only wong-in values. I never wong in at -3 tc,I wong out. I was wondering if there is anyway to manipulate BJRM so I can figure out expectation under the conditions I play under in respect to wonging.

Also,is there anyway I can re-program the software where my all my values are not erased everytime I change gaming conditions?

    thanks,
    Brick

    bigplayer: Wong-in at -3

is the same as wong-out in BJRM...it describes a player who just sits at the same shoe and only plays counts of -3 or higher and simply sits out the other hands.

I used to think the same thing, but after re-evaluating the conditions I play under and BJRM, it occured to me that wonging in at minus 3 is not the same. In reality, I wong in at a count of 0(sometimes plus 1)from the start of a shoe. When the tc drops to -3 I leave the shoe immediately. As a result I effectively place less money into action during many negative counts that BJRM assumes I'm still betting when I'm not. In other words BJRM still thinks I'm betting as soon as the tc gets back to -3,-2,-1 and so forth, when In fact I actually no longer exist in the game. I'm not a very good poster with words, but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.

This could possibly explain why my win rate is actually a little higher than what the sims are showing. Of course it can also be both, higher win rate and some positive flux.

What I'm trying to figure out, is how to compare apples to apples using BJRM under the conditions I play. Seems to be a difficult task. Any thoughts or is my analysis wrong? I'm not sure how BJRM ticks and very few BJ players seem to have or use BJRM.

    thanks,
    Brick

    bigplayer: yes, I understand

but this is not what the sims in BJRM are configured to show. If you wong out a -3 and always change tables to play a fresh shoe your win rate will be higher than BJRM shows.

For some reason my postings seem difficult for others to understand, but everyone has a way with words.

This is what I was trying to say by my previous post, which was wonging in at -3 is not the same as wonging out at -3 as expressed in BJRM?

    >If you wong out a -3 and always change tables to play a fresh shoe your win rate will be higher than BJRM shows.

I certainly already know this, what I'm interested in is figuring out is my correct EV under the conditions I use with BJRM. Evidently this can not be achieved or nobody has gave it much thought. Do you have BJRM? I'm thinking about setting wong-in at 0,make a note of ev,then reset values to wong-in at -3 and place minimum bets in boxes at -3-2-1 and place zero bets in all other +- TC boxes. Then take my -ev% and divide it by a fraction(?) and subtract the -ev% results from my +ev% results to get me a closer to my true expectation.

Anybody out there have BJRM,am I on the right track?

    Thanks,
    Brick

What you wish to do cannot be done with pre-run sims. You need a full sim.
