Bettie: BJ king outspends Dem rival in Senate bid

Below is a link to a story in the Chicago Sun-Times about a former blackjack player turned possible Senator. Doesn't focus too much on the BJ aspect, but interesting nonetheless!

Blair Hull's interview in "The New Market Wizards" by Jack Schwager was what originally inspired me to learn how to count cards. It's been a while since I read the interview, but if memory serves he played on a team with Ken Uston. I believe he also implies that Uston's need for recognition brought about the eventual demise of their team.

On a related (but non-blackjack related) note, I'm curious about Don's opinion on technical analysis in stock trading if he'd care to comment.

I wonder what influence a previous counter would have on the gaming board's policies.

I used it a great deal while trading options for ten years. It works not because of mysterious patterns that stocks follow, but rather because of a tendency for self-fulfilling prophecy, where everyone sees the same thing and often forces a stock in the desired direction.
