Session bankroll is $600. My ramp is 0 units TC<-1, 1 unit -1
    If 2 spots are available, I'll use them for TC>1, but 1 unit = $7.50. (i.e. 2 spots @$75@TC=5)

In hindsight, this is ludicrous, since, at my max bet, if I split, double AND lose TWICE, my session bankroll is gone

Yes it does, but I just looked at my log for this year so far.

    131 Hours of play.
    14 Winning Sessions 46 Hours $3,295 profit
    10 Losing Sessions 87 Hours $6,260 loss
    Net to date $2,965 loss

However, having read the sage advice from long time players on this board and others I have learned many things in my year or so of basic strategy and on to advantage playing. I can tell you that of all the things I have read, all the fine points that are discussed, all the stories that are told I have personally found the following 4 things to be PARAMOUNT.

    1. You MUST MUST MUST have the psychological mindset and fortitude that it takes.

    2. You MUST MUST MUST have the discipline that it takes to play properly and keep the necessary records.

    3. You MUST MUST MUST learn that this game is a lifetime session of thousands and thousands and thousands of hands

    4. You MUST MUST MUST learn from what your experience and records tell you.

So in my case for this year there's an OBVIOUS lesson to be learned from the information above.

My winning sessions average just over 2.5 hours and my losing sessions average right at 8.7 hours. Therefore I think can learn that I'm overstaying my welcome in long sessions either because I get tired/sloppy/stupid the longer I stay or the edge cathes up with me.

I think if you follow 1 through 4 above and take a lot longer view of things you'll be just fine in about 20 years or so.

Meanwhile, I'll shorten my sessions and let you know in 30 days or so if my conclusion was correct.

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage.
