At my local casino:

"The 'Perfect Pairs' side bet is available with a mixed pair paying 5 to 1, a coloured pair paying 10 to 1 and a perfect pair paying 30 to 1."

I know that side bets can often be a long shot. For example, with super sevens, it's worth considering placing the side bet when 2 or more 7's are overdue.

But what about with perfect pairs, with odds as mentioned above. I was wondering if card counting can somehow be used to identify when a possible advantage exists?

If so, I'd appreciate some direction.
