    drumz1: Tunica trip

I am taking a well deserved (if I say so myself) break from work and heading south next week. Can anyone out there give me current playing conditions in Tunica?
Thanks in advance for all comments.

i live within 20 miles of the casinos here in tunica and work in one of them. your best bet is still the horseshoe. its the only one here that doesnt really sweat the money at the tables. but if you are betting big bucks, green chip/black chip, you can expect to be watched, especially playing single or double decks. if you are mainly a red chip player they probably wont even look your way. and the comps are easiest to get there also.
and the horseshoe has the most single/double deckers around. and they allow mid shoe entry in all the games if you are wonging.
they have $5 minimum 6 deckers round the clock 7 days a week but the single and double decks usually go to $10 minimums or higher around lunch time every day. but some of the single and double deck games stay at $10 all night unless a player wants the minimum raised.
feel free to email me if you want to talk more about it.

In general, the games are 1, 2, and 6 decks, no LS, most are H17 except for the Grand (didn't check the Isle), and differences for SpA1/SpA3 depending on the casino. At least some of the Grand 6D use an AS. Most require twice the minimum for two spots although the Grand (if I remember correctly) didn't. You can check Trackjack for specifics and other information of interest for each casino.

Comps are straightforward but vary in ease between casinos. If you haven't played there before, you can sign-up for a player's card over the internet for a few of the casinos and then finish when you arrive if you think it's useful. One will send you the card in the mail so you won't have to spend any time dealing with that once you get there.

I'm not a Tunica regular and when I was there recently I was unable to get out and about as much as I expected. However, I did enjoy the Horseshoe, found Harrah's a little surprising, but was not moved much by the Grand. Conditions at some of the others where not quite what I wanted at the specific times I was there. However, you should check them out for yourself.

As noted by MB, a more specific question might ellicit a better response. But I hope this helps.

    drumz1: Thanks, everyone...

It has been a while since I visited Tunica, so I wanted to know if anything had changed there. Looks as if it is still worth the trip.

Prayers for good cards will be gratefully appreciated, and thank you for your input.

    Regards,
