sunny: how to avoid others to exploit?
one question:
what is the best method to piss off other APs if you found a place and want it alone for you? make a contract with casino personnel, for example i tell you who he is and you let me in again? or just an anonymous mail to the casino at which table on which day you have seen him and what he does?
the answer to this question seems to be much more important than any counting skill. BJ secret number one. BJ secrets are:
1. avoid others to exploit your place. if another goes there and leaves alive this is even more harmful than if you are barred.
2. avoid get barred too quickly. but not as important as point 1
i suggest anonymous mail to casino may be the best. and of course do not begin to play if a "collegue" is there.
any other suggestion? this would bring new life into this board that is nearly dead.

You own all good games? What if other counters send letter informing the casino you are a counter?

indeed: that is the game! who wins the battle in informing the casino first about the other :-))
is it the other about that sends about me or is it me that sends about the other...
game is not only against casino, but against other APs, too!
please continue discussion, it seems to be interesting.
i definitively do not want to hide this information

What you fail to realize is that being first will NOT protect you if the second counter ALSO "outs" you to the casino via anonymous email/phone call. Thus, your idea will not guarantee you unlimited access to a good game.

hmm,
this is without any doubt correct. so shall i try to make a contract with casino personnel? but this seems to be not a good idea, too. they will not tolerate me for 100 years anyway.
the art may be then to out the other without letting him know that it was you ? for example: never play BJ when another counter is present?
difficult, maybe one of the last BJ secrets. the worst part is: this kind of war between counters helps the casinos even more than you yourself. on the other hand: as everyone knows card counters are usually not good collegues.
example: on this message i get much more answers than on any serious request to exchange any useful information.
maybe a book has to be writtten about this stuff...

Also, if you 'out' someone for exploiting a game, won't the casino now know they have an exploitable game and fix it? Seems a bit like prisoner's dilemma.

Is there no honor?

You didn't get it... you are not a prisoner been restricted to only choices of how to rat other advantage players from your good games. There are many good games. If your good games been found by others, make the best of it and leave honorably when the good games been burned. I have been ratted by other advantage players on good games. I was barred. What I did? I arranged more advanatge players to that good games and the good games been burned still. Got it?

Isn't the answer completely trivial?

I've played Revere Point Count for 30+ years and in all of that time - and in the last two years I've probably spent 60 weekends in casinos - I have seen exactly one counter who was betting with the count and one other who sat out bad counts and flat bet good ones. That's it. In over 30 years. So I wouldn't worry about it too much.
